I've been a bit quiet over the past few months - I won't bore you with the reasons!
I changed the banties bedding as we were forecast sleet, and it was a tad bit cold so it's nice for them to have deep Hemcore bedding in their run.
The weather forecast was right for a change!
We've had over six inches of snow - and we are snowed in!
Mr Lottie had to get his wellies on and get the newspaper for next door too, he's so used to driving to the Post Office to pick them up - ah shame! I did offer as I'd love to be the first to walk up the lane and do a John Cleese institute of silly walks in the virgin snow!!
My little chooks are hard to see in Peckingham Palace - but they are there and snuggly!
It feels like Christmas
Mr Lottie's footprints were the only ones from this end of the lane - the village looks quite Dickensian and very pretty.
Hi Lottie.
ReplyDeleteOnly read through your blog yesterday so it doesn't feel like you've been away.
Hope the banties were nice and warm. You've had a lot more snow than us by the looks of it!
Martin
Brrr!
ReplyDeleteI would send you some summer warmth from DownUnder but strangely our summer hasn't been very hot yet.
Hope you and your chookies can keep warm in all that snow!
Fab photos! We've not had as much snow as across but the ground was so frozen on Thursday that when I stood on the fork it didn't go anywhere! (and we've got sandy soil)
ReplyDeleteLove Peckingham Castle, looks like bliss!
Beautiful photos! Love 'n' hugs, Mel xx
ReplyDeleteDelighted to see you publish again and with such lovely photos. Having an exceptionally warm winter season here in New York, causing thoughts to wander towards spring. I don't miss the snow since we had too many blizzards last year. Hope all is well.

Lovely to see you posting again. Snow looks so beautiful. x
ReplyDeleteYour snow looks beautiful! WE got some overnight and this morning, but it is quickly disappearing, and I am glad! It is nice to have a little to slowly soak in and water everything well, but I am ready for warm weather and planting!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you set up your banties' run. It looks so nice and cozy.
